So many questions, so much information….
Q: Is Fountain of Health a member of any Hemp industry associations?
A: Yes, Fountain of Health is an active member of Hemp Industries America (HIA). Members of the HIA support ethical business practices, including accuracy in labeling, use of environmentally friendly technologies, sustainable and organic agriculture, high quality products and concern for human rights. It is the intention of the HIA to take all necessary steps to assure consumer confidence in hemp products. An HIA Member company agrees to the Association’s standards. Display of the HIA Membership insignia in business promotion and advertising is a mark of prestige.
Q: Is Fountain of Health strictly tested for things that should not be in your medicine, like residual solvents and mold, as well as potency?
A: Yes! Our most recent test results can be found here.
Q: Is Fountain of Health oil legal in my state?
A: Yes! Our products are derived from HEMP, which is FEDERALLY LEGAL under the 2014 Farm Bill. You can read a piece of the bill here: https://www.congress.gov/113/bills/hr525/BILLS-113hr525ih.xml
Q: Will I “get high” by taking this product?
A: No! Our oil contains only trace amounts of THC, since the plants were harvested when the levels were below 0.3%THC. Our oil is rich in the health-benefitting cannabinoids without the “high.”
Q: I live in Georgia. Does Fountain of Health oil meet the state guidelines for “low THC oil?”
A: Yes. Our product easily meets the Georgia requirements. But please note that the Georgia law allows up to 5% THC, and our product contains significantly LESS than the allowed level. Here is a link to those rules: http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20152016/159150.pdf
Q: How is the oil taken?
A: Although the product can be used many ways, most people take it sublingually, which means that the oil is left below the tongue for up to a minute, and then simply swallowed without water. Some customers have said that a dab of butter, honey, or raw coconut oil on the tongue mellows out the “plant” flavor.
Q: What is the difference between a full spectrum oil, like Fountain of Health, and an isolate product?
A: Our oil is only lightly processed using co2 extraction to gather the active cannabinoids and all of the other beneficial terpenes and flavonoids present in the plant when it is harvested. An “isolate” product has taken the hemp and highly processed it, to leave nothing but the CBD in crystal form. A similar comparison would be eating a whole-food diet vs. taking a vitamin pill.
Q. Is Fountain of Health oil decarboxylated?
A. Yes it is. Decarboxylation is the process where we heat up the oil for a period of time in an effort to convert the cannabinoids to a state usable by the body. This a helpful link if you’re into organic chemistry.
The CBDa converts into CBD, the THCa converts into THC and so on. Typically the process, for most folks, is to heat up the oil to around 250 degrees and hold it there for about an hour. Now the cannabinoids are ready for your body to absorb and use!
Decarboxylation a very important process in the formulation of Fountain of Health oil.
Q. How long does it take after I order to receive my package?
A. We ship exclusively with US Postal Service and we send everything Priority Mail, which is 2-3 days to most locations. All orders are packed on the day of ordering, and shipped out the next business day. So, most people receive their orders within 3-4 days! If the package is running behind we will gladly share the tracking data and help in any way we can to resolve the issue.
Q. What is the percent of Canabidiol (CBD) in your oil?
A. There is 6.7% Cannabidiol, and approximately 86% MCT (coconut oil). The remaining percent are other non-cannabinoid compounds like lipids, waxes etc…
Q. Are your shipments discreetly packaged?
A. YES! Since we ship using the US Postal Service, we exclusively use their Priority Mail packaging with no additional labeling. The return address will be listed as “Fountain of Health” and the address in Colorado. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
